Adrian Gonzalez 6/30/13 Viva Los Dodgers

I was going to go to the Adrian Gonzalez signing in Huntington park on Saturday but I knew the lines would be very long. I was prepared to be there around 5:00 a.m. and wait til 10:00 a.m. On Friday I checked all my favorite blogs and I saw Adrian was going to be signing at Viva Los dodgers. So I decided to skip the Saturday signing and try Sunday since I was already going to the game. Sunday games are almost always at 1:10 pm and the gates open at 11:10am. After getting some KFC to bring into the game I headed over to the gate on the hill by Academy RD. For some reason it's always empty while the other gates are full. I was the first car there but as 11:10 was nearing I started recognizing some people from signings stand in line at the gate. I began worrying maybe there was going to be a huge line already but I was lucky that my parking spot was literally next to Viva Los Dodgers. As I was getting in line everyone that was at the gate started getting in line behind me. There was some cutting but the line was very short so I didn't mind it.
I was able to get a game used ball signed that Adrian tossed to my sister on 6/25. Sunday was her birthday so I was happy to get it signed for her. The experience of graphing is something I enjoy as much as having the autograph
The line was still short so I tried getting a card signed but after 5 minutes the signing ended. I did a quick walk around and got some free stuff. As I entered the stadium I saw it was 11:40 so that made me happy It only took me about half an hour to get Adrian's autograph instead of waiting for more than 5 hours on Saturday! All in all it was a great day. My seats were in the shade and the dodgers won easily 6-1. Thanks to the Dodgers and Adrian Gonzalez

4/15/13 Jackie Robinson Day

On Monday MLB celebrated Brooklyn Dodger Legend Jackie Robinson.

The game started around 7:00 and I was able to get there when the gates opened at 4:40. As soon as I got near the foul pole I heard Matt Kemp say he'd sign after practice. When practice was over he went and signed by the expensive box seats and I wasn't allowed to got there. I saw Brandon League signing but I already got him. It was fun watching the Dodgers practice even though I didn't get any thing signed. My seats are right up against the Dodger bullpen. As I took my seat I saw Steve Yeager was signing. I had a card of him but I was to high to hand it to him so I tossed my team ball to him. It was interesting watching Chad Billingsley warm up. As he was pitching Clayton Kershaw took a seat and watched Chad pitch. Fans started asking Kershaw for his autograph but he put his index on his lips and silenced everyone. The dodgers were giving away a statue of Dodger greats Jackie Robinson, Don Newcombe and Roy Campanella. One thing that bothered me was seeing a whole section empty. I know some people buy extra tickets in order to sell the Giveaways on eBay but a whole section, really!? I know people who showed up right before game time and didn't get a statue. I think the Dodgers should giveaway exactly as many giveaway products as there are seats in the stadium . That way no one goes home empty handed.

Dodgers vs Pirates 4/7/13

On Sunday April 7th the Dodgers played the Pirates at 1:00pm I got to the gates around 9:00 because on Sundays the dodgers have Viva Los Dodgers. Manny Mota and Hanley Ramirez were scheduled to appear but Hanley wouldn't be signing because he hurt his hand while playing in the WBC for the Dominican Republic. The gates opened at 10:40 and I saw some people were already entering the stadium. So I decided to try my luck during batting practice. I went to the field level by the Dodgers bullpen and was able to get Brandon League, Paco Rodriguez and Clayton Kershaw right away. It looked like Kershaw wasn't going to sign until a fully lady asked him if he would sign her "balls"
It made everyone laugh including Kershaw. He came over and signed for her then started signing for everyone else. I think someone asked him to sweetsoot cus I heard him say "I don't Sweetsoot" I don't mind. After that no other player came by so I went to my seat on the right filed by the visitors bullpen. I was hoping to get former Dodger Russell Martin but he never came by. As I took my seat I saw Matt Kemp was signing right where I was standing earlier.

Dodger Stadium Opening Day

On April 1st I went to opening day at Dodger Stadium with my sister. I've been to a few opening days in the past but this is my most memorable. We got there around 9:30am and were one of the first people through the gates. As soon as we got to the bottom of the stairs I got my first autograph of the day. A luxury car got my attention and I saw it was chauffeured. The driver opened the door and it was Tommy Lasorda himself! I had heard stories of Tommy's temper and I was nervous about asking him for his autograph. My sister and I were the only fans around him so we took a chance. I handed her a ball and I got another out of my backpack and we asked together. I was sure to say "please" because he'll let you know if you don't. He turned to us and said "O.K. Come on!" My sister took a pic as he signed my ball on the sweet spot. So just like that I got my first ever autograph at Dodger Stadium. After that we got in line and waited until 10:15 to be let in. As soon as I got in I ran to the dodgers dugout and was able to get Brandon League on a ball. This was my first time trying to graph and I'm really happy with what I got. I want to thank Tommy Lasorda And Brandon League for the autographs and also bloggers at Vinscullyismyhomeboy.com , Dodgerbobble.com and mcautographsignings.com for inspiring me to start graphing. Thanks for reading.
